After a bizarre skeleton belonging to an unknown species of human is discovered in the Liang Bua caves in Indonesia in 2003, archaeologist Dr. RIchard Hoernboeck embarks on a terrifying journey to discover the truth about the bones.

 

His quest leads him to the notorious Kereobokan Prison where he meets Dr. Timothy Darrow, a man convicted of butchering and cannibalising his study partners in the Flores jungles in 1977.

 

What Darrow reveals compells Hoernboeck to head back into the rainforests of Flores, where he comes face to face with the archaic, evil predators that dwell deep within the jungle.
